Accommodation during the safari will be in public campsites inside the parks, sleeping in a canvas tent on a comfortable mattress. Bathroom facilities are nice and shared with other campers. Meals will be prepared by our professional chef so you don’t need to worry about what to eat or where to sleep as everything will be taken a good care of and all camping gears will provided.

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to Arusha.

Accommodation is at Zawadi House Lodge. Please note this is an arrival day and there are no excursion planned, so you may arrive at any time. Meal plan: Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire

After your breakfast, start your drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Enjoy your picnic lunch inside the park.

Tarangire National Park lies to the south of the Maasai lands. It is defined by large open savannahs, dotted with acacia woodlands and giant baobab trees. The Tarangire River forms a refuge during the dry season for many ungulates and migratory animals.

Enjoy the large herds of elephant drinking and wallowing in the river around mid-afternoon. You will also see lots of giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, impala and many more animals.

Accommodation is at Tarangire Public Campsite. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Tarangire Full Day

Enjoy your early breakfast then head out for a full day game drive to explore Tarangire National Park. Alternatively, you can plan with your guide to have a morning game drive followed by a hot lunch break in the afternoon at the camp then an evening game drive.

Accommodation is at Tarangire Public Campsite. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4: Tarangire - Mto wa Mbu - Serengeti

After your breakfast you will drive to Mto wa Mbu village.

Walk through the narrow village roads and interact with the locals to learn more about their daily lives and activities. Enjoy a walking tour through the banana plantation and waterfalls close to the Great Rift Valley. If you are interested, you can also bicycle to the village and waterfalls.

After the village excursion you will start your journey to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s most renowned national park and home to the greatest concentrations of large mammals on the planet. The name Serengeti is derived from a Maasai word ‘siringet’ meaning an endless plain. You will have an evening game drive and explore more of the southern and central Serengeti.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Experience the stunning endless plains of the Serengeti and capture the essence of Africa.

It is a home to massive numbers of grazing animals and also various predators and the interactions between the many species often provides some of the best wildlife viewing.

Today you will start your game drive around sunrise followed with a late afternoon game drive as the animals tend to be more active in the cooler hours of the day. This will depend on wildlife movements and opportunities for sightings. This drive may continue through the whole day.

Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro

After a leisurely breakfast enjoy a morning game drive around central Serengeti. After lunch drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA).

Ngorongoro is an animal paradise where visitors are likely to see the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard) in their natural habitat.

Ngorongoro also includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, often called Africa’s Eden and the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree-lined walls drop thousands of feet to a Noah’s Ark of animals on the verdant floor below.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

Today you will explore the world-renowned Ngorongoro rater, widely regarded as a microcosm of natural habitats in Africa and often touted as a veritable Garden of Eden.

This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs, forest and the large soda lake. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, gazelle and wildebeest graze whilst nearby sleeping lions laze in the sun.

There is every chance that you will see a considerable variety of wildlife in this compact area, including the highly endangered black rhinoceros. Nowhere else can such a diversity in wildlife be experienced in a short period of time.

Enjoy your picnic lunch in the crater then ascend the crater ready to depart for Arusha or airport according to your plan.
